About FCME

Many people and organizations are serving faithfully among the Fulbe. Yet geographic distance, limited communication and ministry pressures can make it difficult to know one another, learn together and identify appropriate opportunities for collaboration.

FCME is developing in response to that need, not as another layer of control, but as a servant space for stronger relationships and shared discernment.

Our Present Direction

FCME’s present orientation is primarily organization to organization, with meaningful Fulbe Christian leadership and participation. It is voluntary, relational and intended to support rather than replace existing work. FCME is still being shaped through prayer, listening and consultation; it should not be understood as a mature institution or formal membership body.

What Guides Us

Christ Centered

We seek to honour Jesus Christ in our purpose, relationships and witness.

Relational

Trust, prayer and patient listening come before systems.

Servant-hearted

We seek to listen, connect and support rather than control.

Responsible

Collaboration should protect people, respect autonomy and lead only to commitments that can be honoured.

Locally shaped

Fulbe Christian leaders and ministries should help shape FCME’s direction.

Faithful and truthful

Biblical faithfulness, integrity and honest status are essential.

Truth, justice and reconciliation

We seek to act truthfully, pursue justice, support reconciliation and express the love of Christ while refusing political or ethnic alignment.

About FCME

FCME seeks to serve the Great Commission under the lordship of Jesus Christ, in dependence on the Holy Spirit and in fellowship with the wider body of Christ. We value faithful gospel witness in word and deed, prayer, integrity, reconciliation, cooperation and respect for the local church. The Lausanne Covenant and the Manila Manifesto provide helpful theological and missional guidance as FCME continues to develop.

Fulbe and Fulani

In many English-language contexts, Fulbe people are also widely known as Fulani. FCME uses Fulbe in its current name and communications while recognizing that visitors may encounter both terms.

What FCME is — and is not

FCME is an emerging servant platform for relationships, prayer, learning, resource sharing and responsible collaboration among organizations. It is not a church authority, accrediting body, membership organization, funding programme, political platform or public directory of ministries or believers.
