Looking Ahead
A possible future for FCME
FCME is still taking shape through relationships, prayer, listening and learning. Its present focus is intentionally simple: helping Christian mission and ministry organizations already serving among the Fulbe know one another better, learn from one another, pray together, share appropriate resources and explore opportunities for responsible collaboration.
Over time, these relationships may point toward a more developed way of supporting the ecosystem.
One possibility is a small catalyst organization whose purpose would be to serve the wider Fulbe Christian Missions Ecosystem, not to control it.
Such an organization could help ministries work together where collaboration adds value while each organization retains its own identity, governance, calling, relationships and ministry strategy.
Its purpose would remain centred on faithfulness to the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment, with meaningful Fulbe Christian leadership and participation helping shape its development.
What Could a Catalyst Organization Do?
Rather than becoming another large ministry organization, a catalyst could provide selected services that make it easier for existing organizations to connect their strengths, learn together and respond to opportunities that extend beyond the capacity of any one ministry.

Collaboration and Innovation
Create trusted spaces where organizations can build relationships, identify shared challenges and opportunities, connect complementary capabilities and explore appropriate collaborative initiatives. The emphasis would be on facilitating cooperation rather than directing the work of participating organizations.

Faith and Social Impact
Encourage greater connection between faithful gospel ministry and the social and practical realities affecting Fulbe communities. Depending on identified needs and the capabilities of participating organizations, this could include discipleship, reconciliation and peacebuilding, education, healthcare, livelihoods, leadership development and appropriate business-as-mission approaches. FCME would seek to connect capabilities rather than assume that one organization should provide all of them.

Evaluation of Initiatives
Help organizations learn from experience by encouraging appropriate evaluation, shared learning and reflection on what is producing meaningful results. This could help identify promising approaches, lessons, gaps and opportunities for improvement without FCME becoming an accrediting or regulatory body.

Knowledge Advancement
Help make useful knowledge, experience, research and ministry learning more accessible across the ecosystem. This could include appropriate research, contextual insights, lessons learned, training resources and opportunities for practitioners to learn from one another—while protecting confidential and security-sensitive information.

Advancing the Great Commission
Strengthen the ability of existing ministries to contribute faithfully to evangelism, disciple-making, church strengthening, Scripture engagement, leadership development, prayer and other Great Commission priorities. The catalyst would support those already carrying out ministry rather than directing Fulbe churches or assuming responsibility for their work.

Integrated Development
Encourage connections between areas of ministry that are sometimes pursued separately.Spiritual formation, discipleship, leadership, reconciliation, education, livelihoods and community wellbeing can affect one another. A stronger ecosystem may help organizations understand those relationships and develop more integrated responses where appropriate.

Any future catalyst organization would need to preserve the principles on which FCME is being built.

The goal would not be organizational expansion for its own sake. The goal would be to strengthen what God is already doing through many different churches, ministries, leaders and organizations serving among the Fulbe.
Still to Be Shaped
This is a possible future direction, not an established organizational structure or commitment.
Whether a catalyst organization should eventually be developed, what form it should take, what services it should provide and how it should be led would need to emerge through continued prayer, listening, consultation and experience.
FCME intends to grow only as quickly as genuine need, relationships, local ownership, responsible governance and the Lord’s leading make appropriate.
